The St. Charles area is fortunate to have many talented artists who specialize in nature-themed work.
No matter what your medium, if your subject is related to nature, we’d like to speak with you! One of many must-see exhibits at the new Hickory Knolls Discovery Center is the Featured Artists display. Arranged along an expansive wall in the Twinleaf East room, showcased works willbe available for viewingevery day the center is open.

Grand Mural
Forty feet long and 15 feet tall, the Grand Mural extends across two walls in Hickory Knolls’ Exhibit Room. Created by Josh Ebersole and Danielle Ebersole of The Art of Outdoors, the magnificent display depicts the four ecosystems present in the Hickory Knolls Natural Area: woodland, wetland, prairie and savanna. Dozens of species of plants and animals are incorporated into habitat-appropriate settings. Challenge yourself to see how many you can find—and correctly identify!
