Explore Your Parks & Observe Nature!
2021: April 30 – May 3
With 1,450 acres of open space in St. Charles, the Park District is asking everyone to take a walk this spring and help identify any and all plants, trees, fungus, insects, birds, reptiles and animals in the parks and natural areas.
Using the free iNaturalist app, all ages are welcome to become CITIZEN SCIENTISTS by taking photos and uploading them to our project:
City Nature Challenge 2021: St. Charles, IL
If you’re unsure of any scientific designations or information, just leave the details blank. This community effort will aid the District’s naturalist staff in monitoring the phenology of plants and wildlife in our area. Feel free to visit any outdoor public space within the St. Charles Township boundaries.
