Not So Scary Campfire
The St. Charles Public Library will bring a delight of tales. Just the right mix of spooky and fun to get even the littlest of ghouls giggling. End the evening
with a Halloween toasted ghost aka roasted marshmallow. Children must be accompanied by a registered adult. Bring your camping chairs or blanket.

A science education program designed for children who enjoy hands-on learning and outdoor adventure. Hike and explore the trails in our prairie, woodlands, and wetlands and get to know the animals while exploring different seasonal topics. Each small class of students (maximum of 12 students) engages in cooperative, inquiry-based learning, guided by professionally trained educators.

No School Nature Days Days
School might not be in session, but nature never closes! Head out on the trails, meet the critters and try your hand at a variety of science experiments. Shhh, don’t tell your kids they are learning on a no school day! Dress to be outside at least part of the day.

Hike with a Naturalist
Being outside in nature is good for you, and fall is the perfect time! Spend time walking alongside a Park District Naturalist, learning the benefits of
restoration and conservation. If you want to learn more about native plants, woodlands and prairies, hike along with us! Dress for the weather and wear
comfortable shoes as some paths may be uneven.
